2012 Income Tax Assistance
The Shepherd's Center's Volunteer tax counselors - trained by the IRS - will be available from early February through mid-April 2013 to assist with the preparation of basic income tax returns. Filing can be done electronically. On the day of your appointment, please be sure to bring the appropriate tax forms, a copy of last year's tax return, a list of deductible expenses, and other relevant income documents. Tax assistance is availble to adults over the age of 60. Provide non-medical transportation to individuals living within the city limits of Greensboro OR in the Southeast area of Guilford County. Trips are limited to once a week for no longer than 2 hours. Common destinations include the grocery store, bank, post office, beauty shop or to visit a loved one in the hospital or nursing home.
