Volunteer Drivers
Provide non-medical transportation to individuals living within the city limits of Greensboro OR in the Southeast area of Guilford County. Trips are limited to once a week for no longer than 2 hours. Common destinations include the grocery store, bank, post office, beauty shop or to visit a loved one in the hospital or nursing home.

Volunteer drivers provide non-medical transportation to individuals living within the city limits of Greensboro. Trips are limited to once a week for no longer than 2 hours.

Common destinations include the grocery store, bank, post office, beauty shop or to visit a loved one in the hospital or nursing home.

Riders must be at least 60 years of age or retired and have limited access to transportation. Requests for rides must be made 3 to 7 business days prior to your trip by calling the Shepherd's Center office at 336-378-0766.

In the Southeast

With support from Guilford County Transportation

Shepherd's Center has expanded its Wheels program to the Southeast area of Guilford County with help from partnering congregations. Partners include Tabernacle United Methodist Church, Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, Julian United Methodist Church, and Coble's Lutheran Church.

Volunteer drivers from these congregations provide non-medical transportation to individuals living in the Southeast area of Guilford County. Trips are limited to once a week for no longer than 2 hours. Common destinations include the grocery store, bank, post office, beauty shop or to visit a loved one in the hospital or nursing home.

Inclement Weather Policy

The Shepherd’s Wheels Program is NOT operational in severe weather; both drivers and riders should note that Shepherd’s Wheels trips will be cancelled if public schools are closed or delayed.
